I just bought this guy a few days ago. It’s started leaning to one side at night time when lights are off from day one. When I got home from work today it looks like the stalk is melting over the frag plug. What could cause this? I will test parameters here in a minute to see if anything has changed. As of yesterday parameters are as follows. Side note: I just eradicated ostero dinos with UV. Still running the UV. Thanks for the input.

Salinity 1.024
Ph 8.1 to 8.2
Kh 9
Mag 1470
Calcium 470
Nitrate 25
Phosphate .20
Temp 79

Personally I would guess that its a fresh cut, and the fragger glued it onto the frag plug. But leathers will just slime themselves off, and thats what's happening here.

The stem will grab hold of the substrate and root, it needs a 2-3 weeks to do this. You can try to stand it up between rocks, it will grab the rocks and grow. Or you can put a rock in a bowl and put the leather on top, it will eventually grab hold. Or you can use a rubber band or string and loosely tie it to something.... You get the picture, it just needs to be held steady against something and it will root in a couple of weeks, but glue won't work.

You can even google some youtube videos for help on "how to attach a leather coral to a rock", there will be some demonstration videos.
