Why is this algae still growing?

I have been battling this algae for a while now. Its on the glass, frag rack & plugs, and the rocks. The algae on the rocks is in clusters and not super bad. On the glass if left will cover the glass and return nozzle, overflow, & wavemaker. The algae on the frag rack has been scrubbed off and still returns and all soft corals on plugs have been h2o2 dipped and still covered. Im running a DIY ATS that has had decent growth. Changing 25 micron filter socks every 3 days. 100 gallons total changing 1.5 gallons a day tank has been going for a year. What would be the best way to stop this in the display.

it seems like your water, is out of balance. when I had 0 Nitrates...same issue. Now, that's all gone and I run 25 on Nitrates.

Agreed, when my nitrates and phosphate bottomed out bad things happened in my tank.

What they said. Didn't see any fish but if youhave some feed them more and consider adding more. The organic and inorganic nitrogen from fish are corals preferred forms. Corals also need phosphorus to utilize nitrogen and compete with algae. Microbial processes are also veryimportant and here's some videos you may find informative:

Some of that is just the new tank uglies. Those rocks are new and white, and something has to grow there. As an analogy, If you tilled up your garden and didn't plant anything, weeds would grow there no matter what you did. Eventually coraline will cover the rock.
