Just finished a water change and noticed that my Dragon Soul torch is losing polyps. Why could that be? Temp and salinity were the same. I haven’t tested everything else as I wait about 2 hours for all the water to stir up.

The tank is also fallow until 3/20.

My parameters are:

Sal 1.027 - working on lowering to.026
Temp - 77 F
Nitrates - 0
Phosphates - 0
Alk - 7
Cal - 506
MAg - 1245
PH - 8.1

Just dosed alk to slowly raise back to 8. I know mag is a bit low. I've been using Reeflux for the past three weeks, so no WC until today and haven't been testing anything except alk as I have a huge swing a month ago. Brought it up to 8 and stopped testing about a week ago (my mistake).

I have two nice corals being delivered on Wednesday and I want to make sure everything is okay.

You said it’s fallow any clean up crew in there? Almost looks like something was snacking on it.

Yeah I do. I have a pincushion urchin, bunch of different types of snails, assorted hermits, and 3 Mithrax crabs. What’s crazy is they grew back almost immediately.

Dumb question but do the polyps even extend so long they get hung up on something? I have a torch that likes to lose a tentacle tip here and there because it gets caught in my pump…
