I know there’s tons wrong with the idea but does anybody else stare at your snails covered in coraline algae on and wish they would make an artificial rock out of the same stuff as their shells? Just seems sometimes coraline likes their shells more than any other substance known to man.

IME coralline likes plastic and acrylic more than snails' shells ...

I went back East for 5 weeks to help family - this part of sump was clean when I left... that is just a $3.50 LED 5K normal household lightbulb lighting sump for 6 hours a day ... took me a good while scraping with edge of expired credit card to get coralline off my acrylic sump wall
