Hi, I have a 75 gallon mixed reef with softies and a few easy acros. I have the typical CUC and no problems with any parameters. My nitrates and phosphates are a bit high by acro standards but everything is good.
After reading posts about dosing phyto, I purchased a Poseidon reef systems setup. It’s a great system, easy to use and I’ve harvested three rounds of phyto and kept the colony growing.
I dose pretty heavy and thought that I would be seeming some effects. I don’t have any filter feeders so that’s one thing. All of my corals and fish appear the same. There’s been no effect on mynutrient levels. I had hoped to drop them as Dana Riddle was trying in his tank.
Am I wasting my time doing this, or is the phyto doing something I’m not aware of.
Feeding copes of course.

I believe the phyto feeds things in your reef tank you cant normally see.
