Had an AWESOME day today until I got home from work. Found my prized Picasso female on the floor. Life really sucks!!!

:(

you make the 3rd person i've known who has picasso's with an open top/rimless tank, and they've jumped.

you should really try to get that screen we saw on that tank at atlantis.

I've lost 3 gobies in my rimless tank. I just found my pinkbar on the floor yesterday when i got home from work. She was over 2 yrs old.

Funny thing is... I have some and put it on the tank every night. I didn't think they would jump in the day time. Bad mistake on my part. :(

I have a regular tank and I've lost a Sargassum Trigger, Labouti Wrasse, and I've had my goby jump out infront of me but I put him back in and he's been ok since.

I think if a fish wants to jump he's gonna jump. We should all have screens. I know I should but i'm too lazy to get one.

If I do my rimless the water level was gonna be about 6" below the top, don't even know if that would be enough but that was my plan. Sorry to here your loss, my friend just aquired a pair and would have heart attack if they died. I feel your pain.

Forget the clown, what happened to the cake in the background? J/K. That really sucks Chris, I wish this hobby had a "Not your Fault" clause. Sorry to hear about your clown. Any plans for another one?

Sorry about your fish M8 that was a really nice one.....Looks like you ate some cake to try and help with dealing with the loss.....Hopefully it was some good cake.

I forgot to say sorry for your loss.

Sorta on topic..... Are Snowcap Clowns and Picasso Clowns the same thing??

From what I have read Snowflake (Snowcap) clowns differ from the picasso clowns for a few reasons. The main reason for the difference is that the picasso type have more white on the body. The snowflake clowns are more likely to have random white markings.

Oh man, that sucks big time. My clownfish sleep at the top of my tank right at the water line, so I can imagine . . .

Losing fish is hard, especially since no saltwater fish is inexpensive. Keeping corals is much easier.

wow man that sucks, same thing happened to my friend who just setup his tank
i was holding his picasso pair for him and when his tank was finally ready for the fish, the female jumped a few weeks later
sad day but theres nothing you can do other than watch your tank 24/7 or cover it but then whats the point of having a rimless tank then

Man i fell your pain , I dont have a rimless tank , I have a euro brase around the tank and yet ive lost 2 prize picasso :( to tile diving

sorry for your loss
