Can anyone tell me why my Zoa wont open up and only has its mouth showing?

Sorry for the crappy pic.

How long have you had it??? If everything is open around it, it may not like the spot you have it in

i have gotten some in the past that did this no matter where i moved them. I think sometimes the amount of glue used can cause this. I have some blue hornets that had an insane amount of glue on them. its been over 2 months and it is still like this but the babies it is putting off seem opening fine. just my 2 cents and experience.

I just got it in a shipment. Everythign is opening fine around it. I don't think it's the clam or the dendro since I always have zoas around them.. the clam always wants to be near a zoa colony lol no matter what I do.

I was thinking it could be the glue but do you think it will die because of it?

I don't think so, its opening which is good just give it a bit more time maybe. With mine I have babies growing around the seemingly sunken polyp it took a little longer to start sprouting babies but its fine and healthy. I am no expert on this, and this is just my guess as to what is happening/happened. There may be a way different answer, hope a pro can chime in, as this seems kind of common.

Coral is just stressed, it's always a good idea to place the zoa frag in very low light for it to get acclimated and sometimes color up, people sometimes frag corals and then place them in all t5 light just so they can heal better and faster, once healed they place them back under MH or LED light so they can showcase the corals.

Ahh alright. Yeah they're under T5s the whole day except the first hour and last hour of the day they're under a strip of deepwater blue LEDs.
