Why would two vendors have the same listings?

Looking for a few particular items tonight I noticed that one item looked oddly familiar to another site I had just viewed.... well it was the same! Background corals of the WYSIWYG colonies were the giveaway. Once I began really comparing livestock prices and listings it is definitely the same corals listed on two different sites that show no affiliation to one another. The biggest difference I could find on the sites is that one site end with $.97 whereas the other sites listing end in $.99, there is another fairly large difference in pricing but mentioning that difference will make it obvious as to one of the vendors names. Also, one of the vendors is a forum sponsor and the other is not listed in the sponsor forum.....

Does this feel/seem OK to you?

It’s people listing inventory at an LA wholesaler. When it sells, one way or the other - the item is marked as sold on all the sites.

Same coral- pics from two different websites.

Really turns me off to one of them, they mention their QT process often..... but really seems they don’t ever touch the coral in this case.

I've seen that. There were 3 of them. After some inquiry I realized 2 of them were the same. One was their Ebay name and the other their store name. The 3rd one? A copycat?

When I run into this, not just coral or reefing, I walk on all accounts as it might just be scammers. Obviously not in your case as one is a forum sponsor.
