I've had zoas / palys that all of the sudden stop growing? They used to have nice "fat" bases and now they seem to be individual polyp and looks like the base is receding. The base doesn't look right and I haven't notice any new polyp growth from them. Have anyone noticed this? I wonder why?

I have Nightmares that I got one polyp and then had 5 within a month. Months later no new polyps and they are looking scrawny. I would like to know also. I have never moved them since I put them in the tank or change flow or feeding.

same here.....nightmares were growing like weeds on this rock its on.....about 5-6 are open and theres 1 or 2 thats barely open and then have this skinny base.....the ones i have fragged on frag racks are doing good.... and growing fast

From my experience, zoas/palys like consistency, whether its lighting, flow, placement, or even water quality.

My tank have been consistency for about 3 years now. Everything is in check. But all of the sudden they stop growing. I've heard some people would take the zoas out and put into a different tank and they would do much better.

Also my tank is a mix reef so I have to dose. Anyone notice that zoas / palys might not like dosing?

deuce... I moved the thread to Zoa Discussion.. we might get more hits here.. :)
