I entered due to the colours of the fish, always had freshwater tanks for 15 or so years now and went to cichlids ( I know still freshwater ) as cichlids I thought more vibrant colours then in a lfs one day I thought ok I will progress to saltwater fish as so much more colours on the fish ,with one thing and another ,had my current tank sat empty for 5 years and finally managed to add water begginning this year .
So far so good .
Aw but the corals are beautiful but probably what I get most enjoyment from is after lights out and watching all the micro fauna cone out to play ha ha ^_^
I started off with fresh water back in the late 80ies. However I got bored with it. So I tried salt water fish. I will admit I failed at it several times. However I finally figured it out. My current reef tank has been up and running since 2015. Now I’m addicted to salt water with no end in sight. I really like the beauty and challenge that comes with it.
The adventure. Mostly the corals. I started SW when I was about 12 years old, then freshwater, then saltwater again, then professional fish farming (still at it), then saw that reefkeeping had really taken off in the 1990's so I started a reef tank in 2000.
