I was looking for a dual/triple light timer for my two t5 channels and Reefbrites and didn't want to spend $$ on a controller. Came across these guys on Amazon... I got two and set them up as "blue" and "white" lights. The app allows you to set up multiple on/off times etc.. So far they work great! I can now also monitor my lights on my phone and turn them on/off from anywhere :)

Anyone else use these for their reefs?

Mine are not Wi-Fi but they have a remote control and I use them for controlling water change pumps and such where I may be working remote from the pump or getting to the plug is inconvenient.

"Anywhere" like on the other side of the country?
update: I looked up these wifi outlet on amazon and some of them actually has a cell phone app so these outlets can technically be controlled from anywhere in the world....given the app works correctly.

I can now also monitor my lights on my phone and turn them on/off from anywhere :)

Yup :) There is an app and the outlets are logged into my home Wi-Fi network, I don't think I need to be on the network to control them, but that's a great question, haven't tried yet. I'll give it a try while I'm in my office today and will update everyone. I don know that the timers do work because I can see the status and it is telling me the sockets are "on" which both should be at this time :)

Update- I've had these going all week, working great! I can control them from anywhere there is web access.
