Hello peoples,

I’ve had freshwater aquariums for 5+ years now and recently caught the reefing bug. I’m watching a lot of videos at the moment And plan on combing through the various build threads to get and idea about what kind of set up I want. I’m pretty sure I want a waterbox marine or reef tank but that’s about it. Still a few months away from making a decision so no rush.

Welcome to the salty side of life.

Welcome to R2R and the salt life! I also came from freshwater. Agreed with others, you got the right idea of taking your time. It was easy to rush through things with freshwater... It can be disastrous if you rush with saltwater. I've found reef tanks to be way more rewarding and addicting than freshwater and planted tanks.

Some of us are crazy for fish. Some of us are crazy for coral. Some of us are crazy for fish and coral. And some of us are just plain 'ol crazy!

Welcome. My advice for success = RQSAP. Research, Quarantine, Stability, and Patience.
i agree with this, quarentineing will save you a ton of heartache. alot of people say i cant afford a qt tank or that i dont have the space. that all bull. in the long run a qt will save you money in pest control lost fish and corals. its worth it. brs has videos on qt for coral and fish.

welcome to the addiction.
