Hi everyone,

I had a mated pair of midnight clowns, and today, Stedman (the male) jumped into the back of the 16 gallon Biocube. Being unable to swim against the pull of the pump for a couple of hours straight, he expired, so now Oprah is in there all alone. There's also a well fed orange spot goby in there.
  • 16g biocub
  • fluval 307 full 3kg of biohome
  • 13 lbs life rock
  • 1 inch sand bed
  • 1 femLe clown
  • 1 small but fed goby
  • 1 emerald
  • 3 astrea
  • 2 star astriA
  • 1 trochus
  • 4 scarlet hermits
everone was quite happy, just wondering if she should “get back out there” and live her best life, etc, eg, try new small men. And need the be another midnight, could it be something else funky (moonligh?), or nothing at all?

Thanks!

PJ

You can get her another mate , as long as its the same species colors wont be a factor. Get one thats small and still in a group so your chances of him still being male are good. And watch carefully when introduced for aggression.

Hey, if you still have the stock lid on your BioCube then you might this from Intank Aquatics.

Perfect! Exactly what I wanted to know, thanks so much :)

The literature says midnight's are semi-agressive. Is it better to pick another semi-aggressive, or something more/less aggressive?
