does it matter how far apart the baffles are for a sump? I’ve read 1-2 inches is average. I was told yesterday that I could separate the baffles 4 inches since I want to put a sponge/media tray in between one of my baffles. My skimmer will be in the drain section. Then baffle which next area will be fuge section. Followed by 3 baffles in a over/under/over before the return section. Was thinking under/over/under but was recommended the other way. Sponge/media tray will be after the first baffle. All ideas. Thoughts. Suggestions are welcomed. Thanks all

I'd think it depends on how much room you have in the sump. The larger the refugium is better I think. A wider baffle sure makes it easier to clean out .

Sump is 125 gallons. No matter what I have plenty of room for middle section. I also have a 75 gallon fuge that threw gravity drains water into my sump middle section

ID go bigger I went 2 inches on my 125+ sump and it really limits my turnover I'd go for 3.5"
