Ok I have one hermit crab that is always crawling out of the water. It is the same hermit. I put him back in and he crawls up the glass out of the water. What is wrong with him? He hates being in the tank... I will post a pick in a moment.

Many hermit crabs in the wild are tidal creatures. They roo around the tide pools and frequently are exposed to air when the tide goes out. I see them all the time when I go exploring the tide pools on the oregon coast. I woiuldn't worry about it. I'm constantly "rescuing" snails that crawl out of my rimless cube. THey have a harder time in the reef as that has a rim.

Hermit crabs are not tidal creatures and never come out of the water, unless they are land hermit crabs which yours may be.

Ok, none of my blue legs ever tried this so I just wanted to make sure he will be ok when I go on vacation if the tank sitter doesnt notice.
