So if I acclimated a 20 reg tank from over a month with just sand n liverock and I got a 12 gallon nano. Can u use the sand and water from my tank that acclimating and put it in the nano..would it count as being a month in or a restart? Tha ks

If the bacteria is growing on the sand and live rock you can move them to the nano and get the same benefit as they were providing the in 20 gallon.
If you started with liverock it should be good to go SLOWLY with.

Yes, did that when we used to have 2 Biocubes. Used the water from a water change to seed the new tank. All went well.
