Hello. So I am at a point where my tank is consuming Alk where I have to add every 3 days, so time to get a dosing pump. I like the Bubble Magus with the exception for the money it costs, no WiFi. I would prefer to have WiFi to be able to do the adjustments/fine tuning as needed. I have read a number of posts about problems with the various WiFi products such as the JeBao products and the Kamoer, both with connectivity problems. I thought I might try the Jebao for the money but thought I would ask for feedback as to what others are currently experiencing with their recent purchases with these products in the last couple months, if any of the producs have improved.

Any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks

One my current/old tank, I used Drew’s Dosers coupled with simple timers. Been dosing like this since 2017 on that tank. Never had an issue. Those Dosers could also be used with a kasa power strip that’s wifi capable instead of the timers. On my new setup, I went with Ecotech’s Versa with a base station. Still in a box actually. I’m not that far along on the new system to need them. Now, before I purchased The Versa‘s, I read until I was blue in the face on every doser I could find out there. And of course you’re not going to find one that somebody didn’t have issues with. The bad thing about my purchase of the Versa was the availability. I finally got my hand on some several months ago, and now you can’t find them anywhere. So, I’m screwed if I need a back up. So, I thought of buying some additional Dosers like GHL. But then, the programming and customer service scared me away. Some have used these for years with zero issues. Or so I read. The new Kamoer X1 Pro T looks interesting , but I’ve yet to find them in the states. Some of the Kamoer models like the X1 When power is lost, loses its time and restarts at the beginning of the dosing cycle (so the programming is not actually lost). Once you reconnect to the app, the time will be updated. This kind of scared me away from this model. Now, I’ve read plenty of people have issues with earlier models of the Versa also. Leaking and all kinds of good stuff. Lol!! The bubble magus got decent reviews on some sites. Coralbox got good reviews also. Some swear by Jebao, but I’m not willing to risk it. So far as the app and programming, the Versa was my favorite. I hope I have good luck with them. And also hope they’re back in production or Back in stock soon. Neptune Dos is an option also. I do have a Bubble Magus skimmer I’ve used for years. Good product. I’d love to hear others opinions. If I had the room, I’d set up a calcium reactor. Lol.. Good luck making a decision!!!

I have been using Neptune DOS for 18 months now and it is very solid. Cons: a bit noisy and requires Apex.

I use a couple of the Kamoer X1 and so far I love them. They're not wifi (although the pro version is) but the ones I have you control with your phone through Bluetooth. As already pointed out they do start the day over as though it were midnight if they lose power, but that isn't a big deal IMO if your dose is spread out evenly throughout the day.
