SO I have read numerous posts about both choices and still cannot make a decision on my next light. I would appreciate some help. I have a 25gal. flat back hex which I am running a current USA led light on now. I am planning on a mixed reef with no real interest in sticks. My main concern is providing enough lighting for a nice bta. I would like to be somewhat budget minded. and plan on cutting the canopy to feed the light thru.

I have come to the following units either a wifi black box and I would appreciate suggestions on specific units here. or an AI prime HD.

I would really appreciate feedback here thanks

The SB Reef lights are able to be wi-fi controlled, however from other users on here the wifi app has more to be desired. The AI Prime would be a great choice. A great quality light that will grow pretty much any coral you put under it (as can the SB Reef Light) , and a great app with great customer service. I'd opt for the Prime personally :)

Sbreeflights has a decently priced WiFi Black. I’m sure you could support a BTA underneath one of those. They’ve got some real kick.

I’m not very familiar with the AI primes, but I’ve heard good things. I do know they can get a bit underpowered depending on how high you hang them.

I have the AI Prime HD on an IM Fusion 20. It's flexibility and scheduling is awesome with the App. colors are great and the corals are responding well. I will say though, that people are having tremendous success with the Kessils. Even without the controller. I've seen them in person and the corals also respond well.

My .02 :-)

I have been researching lights for my 90 gallon build for months and settled on AI. Its just an awesome platform and it seems like the customer support is there. I looked at virtually every black box manufacturer out there and came to the conclusion that it it solidly hit and miss with lights and quality and customer service. Spend the extra $50-60 and go AI.
