Can someone verify that these are the same coral...? Are the rose corals?
I would like to move coral in 3rd pic out of QT without moving the LR. What’s the best way to remove this coral from LR and placing it on another piece of LR in my DT?

I have the same and when I looked they are growen into the LR or growing out of it I didn't see a way without chipping the LR up.
Basically they are part of the rock I think.
They do better then the ones I bought and I don't even mess with them at all lol

nice, @Eagle_Steve ? thoughts?

@TnFishwater98 is this live rock from KP, GLR or TBLR? If so, see below.

Looks like a Mussa angulosa aka spiney flower coral.

But could also be a Scolymia cubensis. Basically a scoly that is similar to the scoly in the trade but different lol.

If either are based out inside the rock, it will have to be carefully chiseled or cut. Not really a way to get the base of the skeleton out.

Appreciate that...It’s from Gulf Live Rock. I’ve ordered twice and absolutely love the LR...
Are both corals in pic the same?

It is hard to tell, but looks like both the same. Depending on flow, spinet flower changes how it looks a little.

Cuban scoly (as I call it) typically stays very close to the same no matter the flow. Unless super heavy flow.

Being as it is GLR, I would say those corals are spiney flower and not Cuban scoly. Don’t think I have ever seen it that far north. Not saying it cannot happen, but not likely.
