This is all about SPS which is the only corals I have a clue about.

If you have a coral that is RTNing; pull it out, cut off all the dead base at least 1/8 inch (maybe better 1/4 inch) from the dead part, throw it in the garbage, and remount what's left. Now, hope the rest of it lives.

My experience is that once an acro startes to RTN, an infection has set in and will continue to consume the acro until all of it is dead.

And you shall get it. I pulled it out, whacked the dead part, tossed it in the garbage, remounted what was left, began praying, and composed this message with correct spelling. :wink:

I also dropped my lights another 20% and prayed a little more. This is so I don't have to emergency frag my alabama grape.

I have done this with a green tip birds nest and so far so good.. i have had 3 happy new frags in my tank for a month!

I ahve one that did some STN on me. all up the back side of it.
