Does any one know what this is? These pictures don't do it justice there is way more color there.

Better picture

This picture shows a little bit better. It is a little over an inch long. I was fragging and when I went to dump out this dish I saw it. I will try to keep it in a small tupper ware dish overnight.

The head is Red blended into orange, the next section is yellow with a line of blue spots, and the back half is green. Then there are blue ribbons dividing it into sections.

You definetly have a unique worm there, I have done some fairly extensive research on worms trying to identify a large worm in my system and I never ran across any pics that are even close to what you have.

i don't know if it's the same thing or not, hard to tell from the picture, but a reefer on a local forum found a bobbit worm in their tank. i had never heard of these, and even suspected it was a joke, but they're the real deal. check out the vid, pic, and a quote about them from the singapore reef club's forum. i've read they're quite colorful, and can reach lengths of 3 meters long, even in small tanks. note the 5 sensors, and the 2 huge jaws, that reportedly could slice your finger off, they're so fast and strong. while they're usually in a rock or undergravel/sand, they are also free swimming

Get a male bobbit worm and if your existing is a male, they will fight. If its a female, the will mate. Then, the female worm attacks the male ***** and feeds it to her young after mating... The male will be go beserk and you can find both the adults nearby easily. The bad point, you have to search high and low for the young ones if they had scram off.
