Will a 3152 work on a 7 gal Nano tank ?

Ok I have a 3152 Nano ATO that I was going to return a purchase a 3155.

However I bought my wife a small 7gal tank of her own. It has a glass top that is not so easy to remove.

Think I could reuse this 3152 nano on that 7 gal tank instead of returning it (it was the same price as the tank package lol)? I am not sure how much water it will loose with the glass top per day.

The main issue will be the very thin glass, float switches work by magnetic switching, so the magnet holder will affect the float on glass under 3/16". This is solved by shimming the outer magnet with a piece of scrap acrylic.
