I'm debating buying another 40b to put under my current 40b instead of a 30L, I'm using one of those rod iron stands. I really think it would fit, but want to check with what you guys thought :)

So does anyone know?

I would guess no... unless the stand was designed specifically so... this is one of those times a tape measure would be indispensable

My fear is, even if the tape measure measures like it will fit, I will have to turn/tilt it to get it in. Not sure if this would be a problem while trying to put it in :/

I would say that is very likely a problem, why not go with something a bit smaller? like 20 long, thats what I have under my 40b

nvm you want to go up from a 30l....

This is like playing darts in the dark. With the widest and longest part of the tank being the trim I think measuring that should provide enough to properly make a decision.

Have you considered using some type of rubbermaid container?

i would also lok into the stand itself. those bottom shelves on the metal stands like that are not meant to carry the same load at the top is. im not saying it cant, i'm just saying to be sure. I would say some ertra bracing would be in order

you'll need the iron stands that claims it fits two tanks. i own one from DFS which fits my 50b and 40b underneath

On the Marineland/ Perfecto iron stands, a second tank will fit underneath, but it is a tight fit, and it is not designed to hold a full tanks weight. For a sump, you should be ok, though.

what about a 30Breeder from Perfecto..I have one of them as a display tank..its dimensions are 30x18x12..nice and shallow and wide to fit alot of stuff in it for a fuge..
