ive got a very pretty sunburst Monti that survived a close call several months ago and has a dead spot on it. Looks great and growing now, but will it regrow over the dead spot?

Pretty coral but I'm hoping there's a way that dead spot goes away.

Definitely, assuming everything in your tank is well and that its not a pest. I had a vermetid snail growing in mine that was annoying it and I literally dug it out with bone cutters.. that was about two weeks ago, almost completely healed over now. healing time depends on size and type of monti, and your tank stability of course

Ok, good to know guys. Thanks.

I bought a new Monti I posted in the show off thread earlier today that had several of the snail "pipes" on it and I put super glue down in those suckers. Hopefully that worked.

I tried that before and it literally grew a new pipe through a nearby part of the monti, thats why i ended up just cutting it out haha
But ive had superglue work before, so ya never know! and it will totally just grow over that super glue too.

I missed that monti thread, can you post a link to it here? :)

Here is the link and my pic. My new Monti is a purple rim with baby blue polyps. My picture doesn't do it justice. I thought it was really cool.
