Will A Skimmer Help My Brown algae bloom

Have a new tank about 1/2 months old . Getting bad algae and will not go away . Did a 20 gallon water change still doing it . ( ro/di water ) will getting a skimmer help this?

This is normal with all new tanks. Did you do the water change with ro/di water and not saltwater?
