Nopox pulls ph down a little and alk brings it up. I know better than to chase ph, but wondered if Nopox slightly lowers alk as well. Would adding these at the same time (different parts of the tank) make sense so they counteract each other? My tank is a 40g breeder with 47g total water volume. Thanks in advance for your help!

I honesty would not worry about it.

Evidence. How does Mr F do it. How does Sanjay do it.

It's effects are something to consider but ..... as long as your not plunging or spiking it. I Wouldn't worry about it.

NOPOX does not significantly drop alkalinity (it has a small short term drop in alk, but you may not be able to detect it and the lost alk comes back when the acetate is metabolized).

It is fine to dose them together. When I manually dosed vinegar I added calcium hydroxide into it to prevent any sudden pH drop due to it.

Thanks everyone!
