Will adding polished rock/crystals effect levels?

So I am wondering if adding polished rocks would effect alk, mag, cal or cause a negative result. I want to add only completely polished and finished rock, like amethysts, jade, quartz, or glass. Any advice?

I don't think they will be an issue, but...

I don't think you'll like the look after a few weeks or a couple of months. Think about what your tank glass looks like after a week or two of not cleaning it. That's what your polished rocks will look like.
