Will anemones eat small blue damsels?!

I recently picked up 3 small yellow tail blue damsels and 3 anemones.

Within a few days, two of those damsels are "missing"?!

I took out all my live rock and frags, they are nowhere to be found so am puzzled. The only other fish I have are two clownfish..

The damsel has to be dying/dead to be eaten by the anemones.
A healthy fish can survive a condy sting

No the nems are not eating the damsels. Ive got then same kind of damsel with 5 BTAs. I can go a few days without seeing him then he pops out

I didn't think so either and is why I'm so puzzled...I've removed EVERYTHING from the tank except the fish and anemones... the two damsels have seemingly disappeared

How big are they? Could they possibly be hiding in a hole in the rocks? Or if you have a sump, they could have gotten down there.

1. I didn't even know they were 'Condylactis' lol I'm brand new to invertebrates and coral (not saltwater fish). Got them from 2 stores and they were simply listed as long tentecale anenomes, reef safe.

2. As such, had no idea they even do sting prey until googling 'condy anem'

Regardless though, both seemed very healthy upon purchase, tank chems perfect (120 gallon btw)...

So ya... I'm beyond puzzled having removed EVERYTHING from the tank except the live gravel, 3 anems, 2 clowns, 4 snails, only the 1 blue damsel that has been coming out from hiding for feeding every single day.

The other 2 were also...when both didn't is when I looked relentlessly (which is easy...most of my live rock was not in the tank) and couldn't find them so removed everything and gone!

Not in my sump, or overflow either...

VERY strange.

I have had a clown commit suicide before by somehow jumping out so 1st suspected that but nope...

They could be in holes in the rocks or died and been eaten by your CUC. I had a yellow watchmen and baby clown vanish and I looked everywhere, that was the only conclusion I reached
