I’m starting my Rescue 29 Biocube with Freshwater for some mollies, and I’m going to take the tank slowly over to Saltwater. I’m wondering if my API Test can detect Ammonia during the transition. BTW, the way I’m doing this, is by using a Medical Drip to Syphon water out, and an ATO, to pump the Saltwater in.

If it's the standard API ammonia test, I believe yes. Its made for both fresh and saltwater. Agree with Garf that there are two different charts

It’s the same test I believe but a different color chart, but greeny yellow is good in salt or freshwater. You could google the chart if in doubt.
