Will chaeto and copepods help mature a tank quicker

I've got a 300g FOWLR that's been setup up for 9 months now and from time to time I still see diatom blooms that pop up and go away after a few days. Would adding a chaeto chamber help my tank mature to a point that algae blooms will disappear. I'm running radions (I know overkill for a FOWLR) for 4 hours per day, monthly water change with light bio-load.

Are you using RO/DI water?

Too me, diatoms are from silicates, most of the time.

And... can you upload some pictures... ;Snaphappy, so other's can determine what you are dealing with?

chaeto may help even out the nitrate/phos ratio. I don't think pods will help.

I agree with GoVols. Let's see some pics to make sure this is diatoms first.

Posting parameters would also help.
