Clownfish don't need an anemone to spawn, but it is nice to watch them hanging out in it.

Back in the day i wanted my clowns to lay eggs, my buddy who couldn't stop his pairs from laying eggs gave me a little advice that worked like a charm. Daily feeding mysis and Moonlight. I think my clowns spawned a month after I installed small moonlights on my tank. I did that on a second tank with clowns and those also spawned almost immediately. This went on for about 6-7 months, where my clowns would lay eggs every 2-3 weeks. I took down the moonlights and my clowns stopped spawning.
I’ve used chemipure elite on all my tanks and nothing else. Chemipure elite, plenty of live rock and a filter sock. My water is crystal clear always, and when I notice a tint of yellow it a clarity difference, I replace the bag and it’s right back to crystal clear. Highly recommend it. It also has phosphate reducer but I haven’t noticed a big difference in that.
Here’s a pic of what mine looked like, and I didn’t see them change from this size. They turned white, with sparkling little eyes inside, and then one morning they were all gone.
