Will cold water kill the nitrogen cycle?

Hi folks!
So, I am using ammonia, live rock, live sand and bottled bacteria (no livestock) to cycle my new tank. I accidentally unplugged my heater and now the water is pretty cold (66°). Will that affect the cycle? I'm going to wait until the water gets warmer to test it.

I would think it would be fine. I doubt it will have an effect on your overall cycle if it was temporary. If it was longer term it would probably just slow down the process, but still be fine.

I agree, as long as it’s just a temporary issue and the water is back up to temp, just keep testing making sure it’s going okay, ammonia is turning to nitrite ect...

No, your cycle will be fine. We cycle tanks regularly at temperatures as low as 52F for cold water species. It is just slower. Plug your heater back in. Add a bottle of bacteria if you feel like you need to make up for lost time.
