Will copper kill beneficial bacteria on live rock ?

Was thinking of putting some live rock in a qt tank. Any thoughts?

It will take a small hit but will recover. I have a therapeutic level copper tank right now full of live rock that I feed heavily without ammonia issues.

just know that the rock with absorb copper so when you’re dosing, check levels frequently. Once you're stable, it will stay stable because the live rock buffers with copper.

Yes I've had live sand and live rock in treatment tanks with copper safe and it did its job kept the ammonia nitrate levels down did not die off

Like Pistol Peet pointed out it won't have a serious effect on nitrifying bacteria but It will kill a lot of beneficial stuff especially cryptic sponges.
