Before I went on vacation I performed what was supposed to be some basic maintenance.

Cleaned the skimmer collection cup, but forgot to put the drainage plug back in when I put the collection cup on the skimmer. So it ran a week this way. Realized this as soon as I came back when I checked the level in the collection cup. Broke everything down and cleaned up. I was left saying "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." There was a reason.

I guess I turned the flow of the return pump down. As a result it was only feeding the manifold and not pushing water back to the tank! Didn't realize this until return day plus 4 days.

Before I left one of my XF150's died. Coralvue's response has been great. To compensate I redirected a Tunze 6205. Well, unfortunately I didn't realize it was moving sand around. When I came back I saw bare bottom tank in one spot. I had to rearrange and dig two acan's out of the sand mound. One is completely dead. The other, picture below, didn't get fully covered but is damaged. Will it recover or do I need to trim part off?

I currently have a acan that was stung by frogspawn, only a tiny sliver of the flesh is remaining but it seems to be doing fine, your acan looks like it has a pretty good amount of flesh still left. I wouldn't be worried
