Will Diamond Goby pose a threat to LS?

I'm looking to get a Diamond Watchman Goby soon but I've been hearing that it may pose a threat to my beneficial bacteria in my LS. Can I get some more input on this?

I have a 125 with about 1 1/4" sand bed and about 2" on the ends. It's been set up since February.

I like watching this fish at my lfs and he was at the top of my fishlist.

with only 2" it won't be "live sand" very long. But also with a sand bed of 2" it isn't giving you much benefit as far as biological filtration so your sand bed should be very clean. I always had DSB's (6"+) when I had sand sifting gobies.

Whenever I stir up my sand bed, I always get a lot of "stuff" start flying around. I try not to disturb it much.

6" DSB huh? Wow, that's deep. Good thing I have my fuge and live rock to help compensate.

Would I still need it that deep if I wanted to go with a goby/shrimp combo?
