Will dinos stress coral?

What are your tanks specs, what size and is it a all in one? Do you use rodi water? What salainty do you have it at? Do you have an auto water top off or do you add fresh rodi to the tank as it evaporates?

Without really knowing numbers I would hate to tell you to do something and then cause more problems. Anything from Salintiy swings to po4 and no3 swings can cause outbreaks in algea.

Tomorrow when your at your LFS see if they have a Phos and nitrate test kit. Even if they are API it will give you an idea . Alk Cal and Mag would be good to get also.

I know its a lot to do and think about but I wish
I would have started at your age....

Mine is just a normal 55 gallon fish tank that I bought from a closing lfs (sadly) and I top off the water myself with rodi water from lfs

When you get back tomorrow with test kits let us know how some of those numbers are.

I will say I tried very hard to not have to use better test kits but once you do it will change your tank.

I used Dr Tim's Waste Away, and that seemed to help. Dinos will definitely mess with corals

Btw, I edited the title so it reflects the dinos issue rather than bubble algae

Hey how do I add nitrates to the tank without adding phosphate? Maybe more feeding but I feel like it will bring phosphate up (maybe another way apart from buying the nitrates)

Feeding will increase nitrates. Phos , you can use chemipure blue to help control and also contains carbon.
If dino, kill white lights for 5 days and add 1ml of peroxide per 10 gallons at night for 5 days. Will diminish dino in the tank

I will feed more and also I just took out every single rock out and scrubbed it with a brush (it took me the whole day) and also I started dosing phytoplankton and when I get back I will feed more.
