Planning on adding an air stone to my pump with the line directly connected to the outside air (dont want to keep windows open because of cold air and bugs cause I live in a forest)

Wanted to know if I add double or triple the air stones on seperate pumps, will it raise pH significantly or one will do the same amount?

Adding more will help gas exchange to a point. Try 1 or 2.
Skimmer plumbed outside would be cheaper, no extra air pump.

Thanks. I do have a skimmer but my bioload isnt there yet. The tank is only a month and a half old. Was hoping to add an air pump and on top of that once the skimmer is put in place I can do that as well, just wanted to know if adding more pumps made sence chemistry wise, to see if it could raise pH significantly

More gas exchange may lower pH if the air has excess CO2. It’s not usually a solution.

You need to use lower CO2 air for that aeration.

Thanks for that. I plan to run the hose for the air pumps from the outside of the house. I imagine living in a forest theres an excessive amount of O2 outside.

More outside air will be helpful.
