Will GFO remove fluconazole from my tank?

I don't have any before and after pics but it took about a week and a half to kill all of it. now I just need to go in and blow everything off the rocks. I did turn the skimmer off for the first 3 hours after dosing and then after a week I did another half dose to speed it up a little bit.

Would it be alright to leave the skimmer running as long as it was not skimming.... more just for aeration of the water?
Im sure it would be ok. I read articles where people left theres on but took the cup off for the same reason.

The algae will not die off immediatly. So not running gfo for a week will not be a problem. Putting it back on line when you see the algae start to die would be prudent.

Im on my second attempt as the 1st time caused issues with some corals and it came back after a month. I did things differently this time, im going on 2 weeks now and its going smoothly and im gonna keep going for a month. This time i started with half the recommended dose, took the skimmer offline for only one day, pulled out the bag of gac, and left in the bag of phosgaurd. 6 or so days in all visible signs of bryopsis where gone and 2 weeks in my mixed reef tank inhabitants have not shown any signs of suffering from the treatment. Just wanted to share my current experience versus the last time with the changes i did this time around.

So if we use fluconazole would it be recommended to also run GFO to help absorb excess P04 from the dying algae that will be in the system?

I plan to dose fluconazole this week so I was wondering if its wise to also run GFO to absorb excess P04.

That's a fine plan, IMO.

Randy, being you feel GFO is OK with flucon, would this apply to Phosguard, too?

Thanks
