Will Granular Ferric Oxide (GFO) help make water more clear?

I know GFO is for the benefit of lowering phosphates, but does it have any effect on making your saltwater tank water more clear? Just wondering...

Yeh it will help clear out all your sps corals . Lol
But mechanical filtration will help best

It will not filter much execpt big particles that get trapped in it. It is used as an absorbent.
