Will GSP grow over SPS?

The title is pretty self-explanatory. I plan on adding some monticaps but I have some GSP and was wondering if there's any chance the GSP will grow over it. The GSP is on an isolated rock but I still was wondering.

It can, yes. Do you have sand around that rock?
The sand helped contain the spread of mine. But it has the ability to grow slowly across it.
The plus side, is that it’s really easy to cut back if it tries to grow beyond the island

GSP are like a weed and will kill anything in their path.

I think GSP could grow on a concrete sidewalk in the middle of the desert.

I have no proof, just my opinion.
