So for my new 75 I have this idea that for one of my smallish rock structures I would create a gorgonian garden and then underneath the "trees" have the rock covered in GSP "grass. Will the gsp smother, sting, or otherwise harm the gorgs? Am I missing another reason this might not work?

I dont believe the gsp will sting, but it will try to overgrow over anything in its path

Interesting. I imagined it would cover the rock but thought it might not climb the “trunk” of the gorg, especially seeing as some of them sting pretty good too.

I have gsp that is managing to slowly grow closer to my bta and mini maxi anemones. There aren't really any polyps but the mat keeps spreading and the stinging isn't slowing it down too much. My gsp is also starting to grow up itself into small stalks where it has run out of rock so I don't think it would hesitate before climbing your gorgs ;)

Curious of the gorg vs gsp battle. I have GSP growing on the base of a scoly and curious if the GSP will stop its path. I know not same coral, but similar concept since I couldn't find any scoly vs gsp discussions anywhere.

Not sure about gsp vs gorg honestly.
Gorgs actually pack a punch.

I chose clove polyps
