My peppermint shrimp has been going nuts recently and attacking my inverts. His latest assault was on my new brittle star.

The shrimp has been exiled to the back of the tank but he managed to take an arm off my new friend.

Will the little guy make it? The injury seems severe but it's still crawling around the tank.

Most likely it will make it. Just keep an eye on it

Welp... I'm not sure about that diagnosis anymore. The Emerald crab got to the poor thing...

Ripped off 2 more legs and a nice chunk of body. The mouth is still intact amd it can move around. I threw it in a glass jar with some plastic over the top so it has a safe place to recover but... even my optimism is waning.

Bummer friend. My sand sifter was mauled by a large scarlet leg hermit that I banished to the qt tank. The star dug deep and didn't resurface for about two weeks. It was starting to grow back the tip of it's missing leg but my peppermint shrimp and emeralds did the same thing. Sorry to hear about the misfortune.:(
