Will ich die faster from dry/heat/sunlight?

As some of you know I have a tang (blue) with ich.

I have started to toss everyone into a 50 G acrylic with copper treatment (pretty much empty tank with just some pvc pipes and bare minimum sand to protect against their reflection.

I decided I want to sell my main DT and get out of this hobby but I dont want to give ich to someone else.

Im thinking of taking out my 2 shrimps, starfish, and few snails and putting them in my 10 g. then just draining my 75 g DT. Leaving it out in the sun for a while,

Within a few weeks the hope is everyone will be clear of ich, the tank wont have ich left due to dry heat and the new owner can set it up

I would think the fallow period would easily pass by the time anyone would use the tank anyways

Ich will die on its own without a host (fish). It’s not like a virus that can remain dormant for years. If you take all the water out, clean with vinegar and set it back up, the ich will be gone.

It's sad to see someone leave but I think it's a responsible choice. The sun is just as good as bleach imo, please refer the new owner to this forum before they end up introducing ich to their new tank

I think you are severely over reacting. Don’t think what you are facing is anything worse than any accomplished aquarist has ever encountered. Research you problems in a verified way. Like a printed book, these forums are excellent for causing panic but publishers proofread and edit. Lots of amateurs with major opinions that are completely without merit. I’d take a step back and re-evaluate what you think went awry and solve it logically.

I definitely understand what youre saying. Im just tired. The problem with the hobby is one small mistake causes countless hours and $$$$. I also am moving and just too tired to continue the hobby.
I really do feel pain inside when a fish or an animal dies and dont want to see any losses at my hand. Im also out of energy to keep taking care of them.
