Will innovative marine carbon sponge remove medications

Was just wondering if anyone used a carbon sponge from innovative marine to remove medications currently I am dosing metroplex in my qt with a clownfish the qt is a 8 gal nuvo will this sponge be sufficient enough to remove all the metroplex combined with a water change I never had a qt before and is the first time I am dosing any meds what is a good way to use activated carbon to remove meds in such a small tank

It will certainly remove some of the medication, since it is activated carbon. It just depends on the capacity of the carbon and how much medication is used.
 
What is the preferred method of removing meds just buy activated carbon and put it in a bag let it hang in the water ?
