Will interceptor kill my pods?

Yep. Although not necessarily all of them. The post treatment water change will help cope with die-off; I've never seen nutrients spike to crazy levels, and the pod population reproduces quickly.

Yes it will most likely wipe out your pod population, but luckily after you do your 3 doses you can supplement your pods back by buying them

Not to hijack this post, but where the heck does everyone get Interceptor from? I used to work for an animal hospital and giving out prescription meds for off label use was a big no-no, so I'm just curious.

Interceptor can be used to treat heart worms in dogs, treating heart worms in dogs too aggressively initially can lead to death therefore vets within the US require a prescription. Since most vets want to avoid any liability issues they are reluctant to provide a scrip for the drug.
I have gone to a vet and described the intended use of the medication for the treatment of RB and still been turned down.
Some Vets are more easy going and will give a script.
Interceptor targets Arthropods, anything that has an exoskeleton, pods, RB, crabs, shrimp........
Having used the drug twice for treatment for RB I find the drug to be benign to the tank in general except for those Arthropods listed above. Bristle worms and brittle stars looked stunned but recovered.
A secondary effect is pristine water clarity and absence of film algae for a couple weeks after treatment.
To avoid the death of crabs and shrimp you need to remove them prior to treatment or treat with lessor dose.

I've gotten it from Australia.

Thanks for letting me know! I have heard of people doing this with other meds for animals. I don't know why it didn't occur to me that Interceptor is probably available there as well. I just know that vets that give it out here in US for off label use are taking a hefty risk because if someone were to say they were using it for a tank and then turn around and end up killing their heartworm positive dog with it it could be trouble. I'll keep this in mind should I ever need some in the future for my tank :)
