25 yrs ago I bought my house and quickly and hastily I built a stand for my tank and then did nothing with it. 25 yrs later I'm pulling a ton of dirt, muck and dead critters from the tank, it hasn't held water in those 25 yrs.
Today I built a new stand and partially filled the tank in order to clean it.
Tomorrow I'll take apart the old stand and fill the tank and pray.

When I bought the tank I was told it was a 120, and all those yrs that's what I believed, I measured the tank and ran a tank calculation and low and behold the tank is actually closer to 140 gallons. Who knew tanks grow with enough time lol

Tomorrow I'll either have a tank or a pile of thick glass. We'll see.

My wife wants me to section off a portion of the basement for a fish room and all I want to do is get through the cycle with a leak proof tank lol

Enjoy the laugh!!!

fill it to the rim,let sit for a week, how did the silicone feel? flappy edges,or still smooth?

Not for nothing, the silicone is very pliable, I think being in the damp basement all these years helped preserve its integrity, but only 140 gallons will tell lol.

Thanks for the advice, I have every intention to fill the tank and run, close the basement door and come back in a week lol
