Time will tell. It provokes me often to see manufacturers with known faulty products focusing on new innovation rather than perfecting and fixing known product issues.

Not really following your logic here. Weren't they addressing certain issues with previous large tanks with these modern upgrades to make the product better then previous?

If you were looking for a long-term (as in not moving for 5 years or more) Red Sea tank, I wouldn't get any system that didn't have an aluminum stand. These are the reasons:

• All of the aluminum stand tanks have multiple (and heavier) bracing along the front
• The aluminum stand tanks have an aluminum plate to support the "floating" aspect along all 3 sides (not just along the front on my 750XXL v3; this is something that appears in the images but which I haven't been able to independently verify)
• The aluminum stand tanks have euro-bracing on the top in addition to corner bracing (which is now pretty much standard on all Red Sea tanks)

While the plywood stand tanks on the 500 peninsula/525 reefer models and up have the aluminium cabinet support brace and corner bracing, I don't believe that aluminum lip to support the "floating" feature is present on tanks smaller than the 625.

These do have aluminum stands?

Two of the new G2+ peninsula and four of the G2+ reefers (including two new smaller ones they added recently that also feature aluminum stands). So there are six (6) of the new Red Sea models that feature all aluminum stands with euro bracing and the aluminum "floating" support.

There has been a couple of newer tank issues, and mainly their reef lights. There are 2 active members right now with light issues . This is not new but rather ongoing, and not just red sea but with other manufacturers with flawed products as well

I was never impressed with their lights. Seemed like an after thought.
