Will Kessil A80 grow Chaetomorpha

BRS just put out video on tests they are doing to so what lights do the best. Their first test showed the Kessil grow light to be the best, but also the most expensive. Cheato grow very rapidly and consumed almost all the nutrients they added. Very good video.

Will do. I've always had problem keeping chaeto and finally accepted that it was my lighting and it was time time to throw a little money at the problem. I likely could've gone a cheaper route, but if I've learned anything in this hobby it's that it's better to buy the good stuff first. I literally just hooked up the light and added a softball size clump of chaeto. I'll update in a week or two. As you'd expect with Kessil, it's a seriously nice piece of kit and is more powerful than I expected.

The experiment (word used loosely) hasn't exactly worked out and it went in a different direction. However, I can tell that chaeto dies when temp reaches above 90 degrees.
Mangroves, on the other hand can handle high temps and they are def growing thanks to that little light.

Yeah it's working great on my six mangroves. I'll replace the chaeto really soon.

I tend to never give up. I don't necessarily consider this an advantage or even a positive.

I'm running it full power at night on grow mode.

My H150 runs at full power for 9 hours. I'm pretty sure you can't overpower the Chaetomorpha with an H80

Yes it will. I have mines set on red/blue(purple). My Cheato and Red Gracillaria grows super fast. I'm now dosing nitrates which was my goal.

Light is working well, went from tennis ball to lg baseball in less than a week. Figured I paid for all so cranked up to 100%.

Cheato won't burn. You can set it to the max
