Will lanthanum chloride negatively affect a refugium?

Can I dose lanthanum chloride while having a refugium?

If you're talking about about phosphate rx, I use it regularly in my tank but make sure to use the Hanna ulr phosphate checker to make sure I don't completly strip the phosphates from my tank. I only dose it at about 1/10 of the recommend dosage over several days to bring phosphates down slowly and haven't had any problem with the algae in my refugium
