I think my monticap frag got burned by the torch while acclimating. The next morning it lost all tissue down the middle like a mini lawnmower went over it. Fortunately it didn't proceed further but the bare skeleton has now turned from white to brown. So will the tissue ever grow back over this section or forever be blemished?

Provided proper care the monti should reclaim that area in no time :)

Yep! If it's healthy it's tissue will reclaim the dead skeleton quickly! However if algae beats It too it, it may take a bit longer.

Good to know. My other red frag and green one is already growing over the cut so hopefully this one will recover quickly.
